• Friday — Fired Up Friday. The Quay County Health Council will host a chalk art contest. Food trucks will operated from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. or until the food runs out. Tucumcari Historic Railroad Plaza at Second and Main streets.
• July 30-31 — Quay County 4-H Rodeo. Competition begins at 5 p.m. daily. This event remains Quay County 4-H’s biggest fundraiser. Quay County Fairgrounds, Tucumcari.
• Aug. 5-7 — Rattler Reunion. The committee plans to hold annual events for Tucumcari High School alumni, including at the traditional site of the Tucumcari Convention Center. The 2021 Rattler Reunion hosts will be the Classes of 1990 and 1991. The Golden Rattlers will be the Classes of 1970 and 1971. • Aug. 7 — First annual Cruisin’ 66 Night. Cruising will be from 4 p.m. to midnight along Tucumcari Boulevard, aka Route 66. It will include games, vendors, food stands and a 50/50 raffle. The meet-and-greet area will be from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Damon Kvols Park at 415 W. Hines Ave.
• Aug. 12-14 — Quay County Fair. More details will be announced later. Quay County Fairgrounds, Tucumcari.
• Aug. 20 — Fired Up Friday. This event will host an End of Summer Bash. Food trucks will operate from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. or until the food runs out. Tucumcari Historic Railroad Plaza at Second and Main streets.
• Sept. 17 — Fired Up Friday. An outdoor concert is scheduled. Food trucks will operate from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. or until the food runs out. Tucumcari Historic Railroad Plaza at Second and Main streets.
