Another month, another record for Tucumcari cannabis sales.
Tucumcari in September set its third straight record for legal marijuana sales, with more than $369,000 in recreational and medical sales, according to a news release Friday from the Cannabis Control Division of the Regulation and Licensing Department.
That edged the city’s previous record of $356,000 in sales in August.
Tucumcari recorded just short of $306,000 in recreational sales and over $63,000 in medical sales in September.
Tucumcari recently saw the opening of its 10th cannabis shop, with at least one more on the way.
Also in Quay County, Logan reported a total of more than $14,000 in sales during the month.
In New Mexico, licensed retailers sold over $39 million in adult-use and medical cannabis combined. Total sales have hovered around the $40 million mark for months.
The state’s population centers of Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Las Cruces and Hobbs saw the highest sales numbers, with Sunland Park also posting high numbers, rounding out the top five.
