• Saturday — 12th annual Un-Conchas Polar Plunge. American Legion Post 19 is hosting this event at Conchas Lake’s south-side boat ramp with a gathering at 1 p.m. and the plunge at 2 p.m. Prizes will be given to the best costume, most pledges and most enthusiastic plunger. The post also will host a dinner of corned beef and cabbage or beer bratwurst prepared by the Post 19 Auxiliary at 6 p.m., with a dance at 8 p.m. with music by Limited Edition.

• April 1 — Easter egg hunt at Dunn Park, Tucumcari. This free event from 10 to noon will be for children from kindergarten through fifth grade only. The Pure Elegance Car Club and Tucumcari Disc Golf Club are organizing it. The clubs are asking for donations, with a $500 goal, to help put on the hunt.

• April 22 — Tucumcari Rotary Club’s Surf and Turf Dinner. The event includes a dinner at the Tucumcari Elks Lodge from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and a dance featuring Limited Edition. Tickets are $40 and are available at go.rallyup.com/trsurfandturf. Proceeds will benefit the Rotary Club’s scholarship and youth leadership programs.

• June 16-18 — Tucumcari Rawhide Days. The annual event that salutes the “Rawhide” TV show will feature team roping events, a ranch rodeo, gun show and target-shoot competition, stickhorse races, arts and crafts show, Old Route 66 car and motorcycle show, a parade, fishing derby, a 5K and 10K footrace, chuckwagon displays, cowboy church, golf tournament and a New Mexico Longhorn Breeders Association show. • Sept. 9 — Fired Up Festival. This year’s Tucumcari MainStreet event will feature a stop by the Platinum Hop Tour lowriders. The festival in the Tucumcari Historic Railroad Plaza will run from noon to about 9 p.m.
