Calendar - June 14

• Friday-Sunday — Tucumcari Rawhide Days. The annual event that salutes the “Rawhide” TV show will feature roping events, rodeos, gun show, target-shoot competition, stickhorse races, mutton busting, arts and crafts show, a car show, a parade, fishing derby, a 5K and 10K run, cowboy church and a dance. • Saturday — Spring Community Dance, Nara Visa Community Center. Come join us to mark the end of branding season. Limited snacks and drinks will be provided, but feel free to bring your favorite beverages. 8 p.m. to midnight Mountain time. Live music will be provided b Bakersfield Twang. $10 per person.

• June 24 — Down at the Depot. Bring your lawn chairs and join Tucumcari MainStreet for live music, food, shopping and family fun at these monthly summer events. Steven Blea will provide the music. Nonprofit organizations will be the focus of this event.

• July 4 — Tucumcari July 4 fireworks show. The annual event is brought to you by the city, Quay County and the Tucumcari Elks Lodge. The show is expected to begin about 8:30 p.m.

• July 14 — Down at the Depot. Bring your lawn chairs and join Tucumcari MainStreet for live music, food, shopping and family fun at these monthly summer events. National Park Radio is making a return appearance in Tucumcari to perform the music. The event will salute area first responders.

• Aug. 9-12 — Quay County Fair. The annual fair featuring all sorts of livestock and home contests will take place at the Quay County fairgrounds in west Tucumcari. The annual livestock auction will be Saturday night.

• Aug. 19 — Down at the Depot. Bring your lawn chairs and join Tucumcari MainStreet for live music, food, shopping and family fun at these monthly summer events. This will be a Small Business Support Night, with music by St.Range.

• Sept. 9 — Wheels on Fire 100. This bicycle race takes a circle route to San Jon, Grady, Ragland and back to Tucumcari. More information will be given out later.

• Sept. 9 — Fired Up Festival. This year’s Tucumcari MainStreet event will feature a stop by the Platinum Hop Tour low-riders. The festival in the Tucumcari Historic Railroad Plaza will run from noon to about 9 p.m.

• Oct. 7 — Quay County on the Move Fun Run/Walk. This free event will give a T-shirt to all finishers. More information will be given later.
