Tucumcari student graduates from West Texas A&M

A Tucumcari student was among the more than 1,100 who graduated from West Texas A&M University last month.

Kyle Thomas Hamilton of Tucumcari earned a degree in agribusiness, according to a news release from the university.

The university in Canyon, Texas, awarded 828 baccalaureate degrees and 289 master’s degrees during its May 13 commencement ceremonies.

Another 193 potential August graduates walked the stage during the event.

Also, Kassidee Clark and Jodi Vance-Furlow, both of Tucumcari, made it to the university’s President’s List for having perfect grade-point averages of 4.0.

Clark is a senior in agriculture. Vance-Furlow is a junior in sports/exercise science.

Jenna Lopez of Tucumcari and Kindal Smith of Logan each made it to the Dean’s List for having a grade-point average of 3.5 to 3.99.

Lopez is a junior in public relations/advertising/applied communications. Smith is a senior in ag media and communications.
