Extension office offering free workforce assessments

The Northeast Economic Development Organization-New Mexico is organizing an ACT WorkKeys Assessment on Sept. 22 at the Quay County Extension Office in Tucumcari.

The free assessment can determine whether students or jobseekers are workplace-ready and can lead to a National Career Readiness Certificate.

The assessments target three areas of work readiness: workplace documents, applied math and graphic literacy. Successful completion of the ACT WorkKeys Assessments can lead to a Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum certificate.

To learn more or to sign up, call Kristine Olsen at 806-570-0027 or email [email protected].

Assessments also are offered at NMSU county extension offices or other locations in Santa Rosa, Fort Sumner, Las Vegas, Mora, Raton, Clayton and Roy.

The Northeast Economic Development Organization-New Mexico is a nonprofit regional economic development organization that strives to grow counties and communities within the region.

The workforce development project is made possible with funds from CREATE Bridges and in partnership with New Mexico Cooperative Extension Service.
