Five Lady Longhorns make all-district

Five Logan High School volleyball players earned first-team honors in recent voting by District 6 coaches in Class 1A.

The Lady Longhorns' first-team all-district players were:

- Senior libero Hailee Robertson;

- Senior outside hitter Kaylee Williams;

- Sophomore outside hitter Desta Rose;

- Junior middle blocker Haylie Bidegain;

- Senior defensive specialist Bella Coronado.

Robertson also was named to the Red Team as a defensive specialist in the New Mexico High School Coaches Association's Class 1A-2A all-star game that was played Saturday at Bernalillo High School.

The Lady Longhorns finished with a 19-6 record overall, won the district title and advanced to the Class 1A tournament semifinals. District rival Melrose won the state title.

Honorable mentions for Logan were:

- Senior outside hitter Lizzy Horner;

- Senior right-side hitter Camryn Cantrell;

- Sophomore right-side hitter Charli Fuller.

Also making the first team in the district was San Jon senior outside hitter Sarah Archuleta, who led the Coyotes in kills and aces. San Jon finished with a 9-14 record.

Addie Lafferty and Summer Jennings were honorable mentions for San Jon.
