Calendar - May 8

May 19-25 — Mesalands Community College Iron Pour. This arts event resumes after the shutdowns of the COVID-19 pandemic. It includes the pouring of molten metal on Friday and opportunities for locals to make their own molds. More information on this event is coming later.

June 8 — Doc Powers Memorial Car and Motorcycle Show. This free, family-friendly event will be hosted by the Tucumcari Elks Lodge 1172 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration of cars will begin at 10 a.m. with a $25 fee per vehicle, which comes with a free lunch. A prize raffle will be held every 30 minutes. It includes hot food, snow cones and music by the Junction 432 Band. For more information, email [email protected] or call (719) 217-8544.

June 14-16 — Tucumcari Rawhide Days. The event at the Quay County Fairgrounds will feature a gun show, junior ranch rodeo, junior livestock show and other western competitions and attractions. More details will be announced later.

July 27 — St. Anne’s Fiesta. The annual event by the St. Anne’s Catholic Church will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the school and Hammond Hall with games, music, food, fiesta baskets and a raffle ticket drawing. Aug. 1-4 — Rattler Reunion. This annual event will include a parade, picnics and the Saturday night banquet. For more information, go to rattlerreunion.com.
