    Robin Fornoff Freedom Communications has agreed to sell the Clovis News Journal, Portales News-Tribune, Quay County Sun and their affiliated publications to Clovis Media Inc., Publisher Ray Sullivan told newspaper employees Tuesday afternoon. All 60 full-time and two part-time associates will retain their jobs in ownership transition, expected to take place before the end of February, Sullivan said, and their base pay would remain the same.     The Clovis News Journal, Portales News-Tribune and Quay County Sun have been sold to Clovis Media Inc., a new company based in Sheridan, Wyo., officials announced on Tuesday. The sale also includes all of the publications produced by the group now known as Freedom Newspapers of New Mexico. I’ve written a whole lot of New Mexico Legislature stories over the years but strangely enough I had never been in Santa Fe while the Legislature was in town until this week. Massengill is currently ranked second in the in the region in steer wrestling and 12th in the team roping header event.
