    Turnovers finally caught up to the previously undefeated Tucumcari Rattlers in a 26-14 loss Friday to the visiting Eunice Cardinals. "We have been working to eliminate turnovers," said Wayne Ferguson, Rattlers head coach. Ferguson said turnovers cost them the game, one of the major issues they had been working to correct.   • Sunland expands recall to products from 2010

    Peanut butter manufacturer Sunland has expanded its voluntary recall of all products made at its Portales plant, citing the threat of possible salmonella contamination. In a press release issued late Thursday, company spokesperson Katalin Coburn said the latest recall includes all products manufactured in its peanut butter plant after March 1, 2010.     Emergency personnel and police officials still have few answers to the circumstances which led to 14-year-old Alex Jauck having to be rescued from Tucumcari Mountain. Scott Jaynes, emergency manager with the city of Tucumcari said they received a call from dispatch around 10 a.m. Monday morning regarding Jauck being stranded on the side of the mountain.
