New Mexico State Police are investigating the shooting death of Tucumcari City Commissioner Daniel Lopez. Officials said police found Lopez in his Tucumcari home at 11:48 p.m. Saturday, injured by a gunshot. He later died at Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital in Tucumcari. State Police Capt.
