Commission approves auction

The Tucumcari City Commission met Thursday at City Hall and took the following action:

l Accepted from James Adams an American flag off of the ship "Arizona," which was donated to the Historical museum in honor of Billy Waters, who served in WWII.

l Mayor Amiel Curnutt signed proclamations declaring Columbus Day and Constitution Week.

l Approved Resolution 2012-36, an Infrastructure Capital Improvement Plan to be forwarded to the New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration.

l Approved Resolution 2012-37 to sell surplus equipment. City Manager Doug Powers said the auction will be held next month at the Quay County Fairgrounds.

l Read a thank you note from Christine Fleming for the support for the spay and neuter clinic that was held Aug. 10-12. A second donation was requested to bring the mobile clinic back to Tucumcari to help get more animals spayed and neutered.
