Business owners: Black Friday sales draw crowds

Black Friday in Tucumcari turned out the community in large numbers.

Rhonda Kandel, manager of K Mart, said the store had many special sales for shoppers. She said Tucumcari shoppers were fantastic and were shopping Tucumcari in better numbers this year with three days of door buster sales.

Brian Woodward, manager of Alco, said the day started out slow but picked later. He said many shoppers were coming in the store and sales were up from last year.

Sandy Shipley of Shipley's Radio Shack said they had a lot of early shoppers coming in the store and it had been steady since they opened their doors.
