Police located Sara Mack, 33, in Polk County, Florida, Shafer said, and arrangements are being made wth Florida authorities to transport her to New Mexico.

Mack was was arrested along with Tyler Carpenter, then 22, on Aug. 22, 2013 after state police found components of a meth lab in their apartment in the 1400 block of East Route 66 Boulevard.

Carpenter has also fled and remains at large.

Rose said Mack had been released and was ordered to wear an ankle monitor while she awaited trial, but removed the monitor and escaped later.

Court documents show bond was revoked and a bench warrant issued for Mack’s arrest on Dec. 13, 2013.

Mack and Carpenter were each charged with five felony counts, including trafficking controlled substance by manufacture, tampering with evidence, conspiracy, possession of methamphetamine, and controlled substance prohibited acts. The pair also face two misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mack was arrested on Aug. 22 by New Mexico State Police assisted by Tenth Judicial District investigators after a search of their apartment revealed methamphetamine-making equipment.
