Police Blotter/ Jail Log— Sept. 2

The following is a sampling of calls received by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.

Aug. 24

• 12:56 a.m., a man reported a burglary of a vehicle at a fuel station on the 1900 block of South Mountain Road.

• 2:13 a.m., a man reported shots fired on the 700 block of West Sunset Avenue. An officer advised they patrolled the area and all was OK.

• 8:38 a.m., Joshua Jacobs, 29, was arrested for a warrant on the corner of Martinez Street and US Highway 54. Jacobs was taken to the Quay County Detention Center.

• 10 a.m., a man walked into the Police Department on the 200 block of East Center Street to report a fraud.

• 12:27 p.m., a man walked into the PD on the 200 block of East Center Street to turn in a handgun he found while moving.

• 1:42 p.m., a woman reported a domestic dispute on the 1200 block of East Main Street.

• 4:39 p.m., a woman reported a domestic dispute on the corner of South Rock Island Street and East Barnes Avenue. An officer advised all was OK it was a verbal argument only.

• 8:39 p.m., a man reported threats at a residence on the 600 block of South Rock Island Street.

Aug. 25

• 12:34 a.m., a woman reported noises coming from the basement on the 900 block of East Laughlin Avenue. An officer advised there was no house at the address given by the woman.

• 11:38 a.m., a deputy reported antelope in the road way 10 miles south of Tucumcari on State Highway 209. The state Game and Fish Department was notified.

• 4:41 p.m., a woman reported shots fired on the 1400 block of South Grove Street. An officer advised they patrolled the area and all was OK.

• 4:51 p.m., Florencio Aragon, 49, was arrested for two warrant on the corner of East Rankin Avenue and South Grove Street. Aragon was taken to QCDC.

• 7:20 p.m., a woman reported a theft of an air compressor at a residence on the 500 block of East Main Street.

• 7:50 p.m., Ulric Evans, 58, was arrested for a warrant at a restaurant on the 800 block of West Route 66. Evans was taken to QCDC.

• 9:37 p.m., a woman reported a domestic dispute at a residence on the 800 block of East South Avenue. A deputy advised they spoke with the parties involved.

Aug. 26

• 12:08 a.m., a man reported harassment at a fuel station on the 1800 block of South First Street.

• 1:46 a.m., a man reported that someone was walking around in his backyard on the 1900 block of South Fifth Street. An officer advised they patrolled the area and all was OK.

• 4:12 p.m., a man reported a suspicious man asking for rides at a fuel station on the 2600 block of South First Street.

• 5:09 p.m., a woman reported an unwanted man at a fuel station on the 2300 block of South First Street. The woman told the officer that the man was bothering the customers. An officer advised that they made contact with the man and issued him a no-trespass warning and told him to stay off the property.

Aug. 27

• 5:52 a.m., a man reported a prowler on the 1400 block of South Sixth Street. An officer advised they patrolled the area and all was OK.

• 7:53 a.m., an alarm was reported at a residence on the 100 block of West Aber Avenue. An officer advised all was OK.

• 10:56 a.m., an alarm was reported at a residence on the 4200 block of Quay Road 63. A deputy advised all was OK.

• 12:02 p.m., a woman reported a theft at a residence on the 4000 block of QR 64.8. A deputy was told that a butane cooker was stolen.

• 12:14 p.m., a woman reported vandalism of a vehicle on the 1900 block of South Third Street. An officer advised a window in the vehicle had been broken.

• 12:21 p.m., a man reported dispute with a customer at a motel on the 800 block of West Route 66. An officer was told that a man had damaged a room at the motel.

• 12:33 p.m., a woman reported a shoplifter at a retail store on the 100 block of West Route 66.

• 1:52 p.m., an alarm was reported at a residence on the 1900 block of South Fourth Street. An officer advised all was OK.

• 2:06 p.m., a woman walked into the PD on the 200 block of East Center Street to report harassment. The woman told an officer that a man was following her around town.

• 9:19 p.m., an alarm was reported at the hospital on the 300 block of East Meil De Luna Avenue. An officer advised all was OK.

• 9:49 p.m., a woman reported a dispute at a residence on the 1700 block of South Ninth Street. An officer advised the second person involved in the dispute at left prior to their arrival.

Aug. 28

• 12:21 a.m., a woman reported two men yelling on the 700 block of West Sunset Avenue. An officer advised they made contact with the men and all was OK it was a verbal argument only.

• 9:42 a.m., a woman reported a domestic dispute at a residence on the 300 block of Perch Drive. A man was arrested and taken to QCDC. (Name of the man arrested was not listed on the report.)

• 12:31 p.m., a woman reported a shoplifter at a fuel station on the 2000 block of South Mountain Road. An officer advised they made contact with a man and the stolen property was returned. The man received a no-tresspassing warning and told not to return to the property.

• 1:44 p.m., a woman reported embezzlement at a fuel station on the 600 block of South Rock Island Street.

• 1:46 p.m., a man reported vandalism of a building on the 700 block of South First Street. An officer advised a window was broken out.

• 3:48 p.m., a man reported an unwanted man at a restaurant on the 2300 block of South First Street. An officer advised the man was told to leave.

• 8:20 p.m., a man reported a theft at a residence on the 1100 block of South Adams Street.

• Celia Portilo, 29, shoplifting, possession of drug paraphernalia

• Joshua Jacobs, 29, warrant

• Diana Apodaca, 55, driving under the influence
