    Issued at3:30 p.m. We currently have 1,037 customers without power in Texas and around 400 out in New Mexico. In Texas, 1,008 are out in Amarillo, but we're about to restore about 200 in the Estacado area. In New Mexico, most of the outages are in Clovis. We've had approximately 4,000 impacted by this storm since 8 p.m. Sunday. Visibility is improving in our New Mexico territory and restoration efforts are starting to gain momentum.   • 1A 2A district basketball tournaments rescheduled

    Monday's snowfall has forced the rescheduling of the 2A and 1A district tournaments for the Tucumcari Rattlers and Logan Longhorn's basketball teams. The Tucumcari Rattlers and Lady Rattlers will play a double header in district 2 2A starting at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday at the Snake Pit. The (8-16) (2-4) Lady Rattlers will play the (7-19) (0-6) Santa Rosa Lady Lions. The Lady Rattlers earned the home court game by beating the Lady Lions 40-34 on Friday at the Snake Pit.   • Blowing snow hampers clearing roads

    The snow Tucumcari and Quay County has ended -- for now. Another storm system will move into the area late Tuesday afternoon, with a chance of slight dusting of snowfall for Tucumcari and less than an inch for Logan, said Tim Shy, senior forecaster National Weather Service Albuquerque.     Interstate 40 eastbound from Albuquerque to Amarillo was reopened at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday after being closed on Monday from heavy snowfall. More than 19 inches of snowfall and high wind gust of over 50 miles per hour halted Texas Department of Transportation's efforts to clear I-40 Monday forcing the closure of eastbound traffic from Albuquerque to the Texas State Line.     A spokesperson for Clovis public schools has announced Clovis schools are closed Monday due to the threat of continued snow and high winds.
